S'gor cops seize RM7.94mil worth of drugs, cripple four syndicates


SHAH ALAM: Police have seized over RM7.94mil worth of drugs after crippling four syndicates active in Selangor.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said they conducted seven raids between July 17 and 21 together with Bukit Aman and Subang Jaya Narcotic Crime Investigation Department personnel.

"We raided locations in Seri Kembangan, Kota Damansara, Putra Heights, Jinjang and Rawang. The team also arrested 11 men and five women.

"We seized 1.32kg of heroin, 26.77kg of heroin base, 37.57kg of methamphetamines, 109g of ganja, 42.86kg of erimin 5, 26.85kg of caffeine, and 42.28kg of ketamine," he told reporters on Tuesday (July 25).

He added that police also seized a revolver from one of the suspects.

"Based on our checks, we crippled four syndicates during this crackdown comprising one drug processing facility and three drug distribution rings.

"They are believed to have started operations since early this year," he said, adding that the drugs are worth at least RM7.94mil.

He said seven of the suspects had prior records for theft, and drug offences.

"Urine tests also revealed that two of the suspects were positive for ganja.

"We also forfeited assets worth RM1.24mil including jewellery and luxury vehicles," he said.
